Mary is a key volunteer at the Wisconsin Distribution Center and Ruby’s Pantry Food Distribution in Waupaca, WI. She has a heart of gold and is loved by all who are around her. She has a quiet spirit and is very organized and hard working. She is willing to do whatever is needed and never grumbles or complains about anyone or anything.
During monthly distributions she arrives early to help with food packaging. She is willing and able to step in and coordinate the volunteers in the repack room as well. As soon as one task is done she is looking for what else needs to be completed prior to the start of a distribution. During the distribution she serves as one of the “Gate Keepers”. She greets everyone with a warm smile and visits with them as they wait to get out the door.
In addition to volunteering on distribution day, Mary also volunteers in the Wisconsin Distribution Center every Friday helping to get food prepped, counted and organized for the Saturday distributions and other days as needed. She cleans the warehouse bathrooms and kitchen, sweeps the warehouse and helps with anything else that may need doing. Whenever there’s a need for additional volunteer work she is always willing to come and assist.
Mary is one of the people you love to see walk through the door and epitomizes everything that Ruby’s Pantry is and stands for as a volunteer.
