Frustrations are felt by all of us at one time or another. For some it is more often than others. Our frustrations often come from our failure to read or follow directions. Sometimes we just don’t get it! This weekend I had a computer project that should have taken an hour. I started with a four hour stretch of frustration followed by another four hours of frustration and finally conquered the project after another four hours, a total of 12 hours of frustration.
I think that’s what God must feel like in His efforts to be patient with us in this learning and maturing process we all go through. Even when He provided us a manual about how to live we still take years to conquer those frustrating battles within. I can’t imagine how God must feel watching people struggle for years with things they could have conquered in days, weeks or months. But this one thing I know, God will not give up on you, God forgives you, God loves you and He always will!
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.” -I Corinthians 13:4-8
